Sandro Tonali reaches full agreement with Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market as Roberto De Zerbi continues reshaping his squad.

Spurs have already strengthened several positions, but the North London club remain determined to add another elite midfielder before the new season begins.

Sandro Tonali has become the club’s priority target. Tottenham have intensified their pursuit in recent weeks as De Zerbi pushes to reunite with one of Serie A’s finest midfielders.

Negotiations with Newcastle United remain ongoing after an opening offer failed to convince the Magpies.

Spurs are also working on a separate deal for Mateus Fernandes, but Tonali remains one of the club’s biggest ambitions this summer.

And, the latest development has now handed Tottenham significant encouragement in their pursuit.

According to Nicolo Schira, Tottenham Hotspur and Sandro Tonali have reached a full agreement over a contract running until 2032, worth €12 million per year.

The report adds that Tottenham are now confident of reaching an agreement with Newcastle after securing the player’s commitment.

Tonali reportedly wants to leave St James’ Park and has chosen Spurs as his preferred destination. Schira also claims Roberto De Zerbi played a decisive role in the negotiations.

The Italian midfielder is keen to work under his compatriot again, making Tottenham his first choice despite interest from elsewhere.

Attention now turns towards negotiations between the two clubs. Newcastle have already rejected Tottenham’s opening proposal, but Spurs remain optimistic that a compromise can be reached.
