Ruben Amorim wanted to sign a striker this summer. And, Manchester United went on and delivered what he wanted.

Last year, the Red Devils were poor in front of the goal. They scored 44 goals, which is the lowest ever in the Premier League era for the club.

That is why Ruben Amorim wanted to make sure this doesn’t happen again. However, the new season didn’t start well for the Portuguese boss.

Even after signing the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and the new striker, Benjamin Sesko, United have managed to score only one goal in two games, and that too was an own goal.

So, Manchester United players are yet to score in the Premier League this season.

Next week, they will face Burnley, and they will have a chance to change their fortune and register their first win of the season.

In the mix of all these, Ruben Amorim has made sure of one thing: Rasmus Hojlund will not feature in the Manchester United squad.

The reason is quite simple. Manchester United want to sell the Danish striker after signing Benjamin Sesko. Last season, Hojlund scored 4 Premier League goals in 32 games.

That is not good enough for the standard of Manchester United. Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Rasmus Hojlund is closer to joining Napoli.

AC Milan wanted to sign Hojlund initially. However, the Danish international refused to join them. Now, Antonio Conte wants to sign Hojlund as a replacement for the injured Romelu Lukaku.

The Italian champions are offering a loan with an option to buy for €45m deal to Manchester United. And, the deal for Rasmus Hojlund will be valid till 2030.

Things are moving fast in the Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli transfer saga, and the next few days will be crucial.
