Now, one of the biggest setbacks for Manchester United this summer transfer window is many of their players left the club as free agents.
However, one of those players are now close to sign for a new club as Serie A could be his next destination.
According to Fabrizio Romano, former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof is now a target for the Serie A club Fiorentina.
David de Gea, another former Manchester United player, is currently playing for the same club.
Fiorentina have begun talks with the player, and they expect to get this deal over the line quickly.
Victor Lindelof joined Manchester United in 2017 from Benfica. During his time at Old Trafford, Lindelof had played 284 games for the Red Devils.
When it comes to winning trophies with the Red Devils, Lindelof has two trophies in his cabinet. He won the 2023 Carabao Cup and 2024 FA Cup.
Now, a new chapter awaits for the Swedish international captain, and Fiorentina step up to sign the defender as a free agent.
