Tottenham Hotspur set sights on Morgan Gibbs-White alternative
After sacking Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham Hotspur appointed Thomas Frank as their new manager.
Daniel Levi is doing everything he can to back his new manager. They have already signed Mohamed Kudus from West Ham United.
Apart from that, they have also permanently signed Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich. Now, they are looking to make another statement signing.
The Spurs were linked with a move for Rodrygo as well from Real Madrid. However, various outlets have reported that the Spurs are not moving for the Brazilian.
However, they are looking to sign an attacking midfielder. And, they were linked with Mogan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.
The England international had a release clause in his Forest contract, which was about £60 million. And, Tottenham Hotspur triggered that.
But, Forest were not letting their main man go. They even threatened to take legal action against the Spurs. So, the Morgan Gibbs-White to Tottenham move did not go through.
Also, the 25-year-old signed a new three-year contract with Nottingham Forest. Therefore, he will stay at the City Ground this summer for sure.
That is why Daniel Levi has wasted no time in looking for his alternatives. Tottenham Hotspur will back Thomas Frank no matter what.
The Spurs will not accept finishing 17th in the Premier League table again.
According to TBR Football, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Bilal El Khannouss from Leicester City.
The Moroccan has a release clause of £22.5 million in his Leicester City contract. However, the Foxes could demand a fee of around £30 million.
Although Leicester City were relegated from the Premier League, El Khannouss caught the eyes of several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham.
Now, it will be interesting to see when the Spurs place their first bid to ensure that the Bilal El Khannouss to Tottenham deal goes through smoothly.
