Despite a 3-2 win over West Ham United in the Carabao Cup earlier this week, the Wolves fanbase remains anxious.
The club lost three key players in the summer, and the jury is still out on all of their replacements.
Despite the imminent signing of Nick Woltemade, there is still concern that Newcastle will sign Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Whether he stays or goes, Wolves still need new faces through the door.
One player they are looking at, as per Nabil Djellit – is Mohamed Amoura of VfL Wolfsburg.
The Algerian forward scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in his debut Bundesliga campaign last season.
Including a brace against Bayern Munich.
He started this campaign where he left off too, scoring off the bench in a win away to Heidenheim.
According to the above report, Benfica wanted to sign Amoura, but have now opted to go elsewhere.
The 25-year old is a versatile player, capable of playing out wide or through the middle.
Last season, he often played off the left hand side, or up front in a two.
This could make him a good fit playing off the striker (hopefully for Wolves that is Strand Larsen) alongside Jhon Arias.
A front three of Amoura – Strand Larsen – Arias would give Vitor Pereira’s chance a decent side of staying up.
They certainly need the attacking reinforcements. Wolves are the only team to lose both of their games and not score a goal throughout the opening two games.
