Nottingham Forest have been highly active this summer as Oliver Glasner continues reshaping his squad at the City Ground.
Forest recently completed a club-record £50 million deal for Liam Delap, who arrived from Chelsea on a five-year contract.
The 23-year-old became their latest major addition after Ousmane Diomande joined from Sporting CP for £34 million.
However, Forest have endured a difficult start to the new season despite investing in their squad.
They lost their Premier League opener 1-0 against Leeds United before suffering another home defeat against the same opposition.
Leeds then beat Forest 2-0 in the Carabao Cup, leaving Glasner’s side without a goal from their opening two matches.
With the transfer deadline approaching, Forest are now looking to strengthen another area of their squad.
According to The Athletic, Nottingham Forest have submitted an offer worth up to £22 million for Chelsea target Daniel Munoz.
The proposal includes an initial £20 million payment to Crystal Palace, with another £2 million available through add-ons.
Chelsea have also monitored the Colombia international following his impressive performances for both Palace and his national team.
Munoz scored four goals and provided four assists across 29 Premier League appearances during the 2025-26 campaign.
He also helped Crystal Palace win the UEFA Conference League before representing Colombia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
A move to Forest would reunite the 30-year-old with Glasner after they previously worked together at Crystal Palace.
Palace are currently considering Forest’s offer, while Munoz still has two years remaining on his contract.
Forest have also explored other options for the right wing-back position, including Celta Vigo’s Javi Rueda.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace strengthened that area this summer by signing Anan Khalaili from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise for £21 million.
