Arsenal had an amazing transfer window last summer. And they are reaping the rewards of that transfer window this season.
The Gunners are leading the Premier League table and are also alive in both the FA Cup and the Champions League.
Also, Mikel Arteta’s men have a hefty lead of nine points in the Premier League, having played a game extra.
Still, it seems the Gunners should be able to lift the Premier League trophy for the first time this year, since 2004.
Now, they would want to utilise the summer transfer window in June to make sure they have a strong squad for the next season.
There will be players leaving Arsenal next summer. And, Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta will have the onus of picking the right players as replacements.
Already, one Arsenal player is reportedly ready to move next summer. Apart from that, the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White, and Gabriel Jesus could be on the way out as well.
So, if Jesus leaves the club, then Arsenal will need to find another striker, as Arteta doesn’t want to put the entire workload on Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz.
According to Florian Plenttenberg, Arsenal are now monitoring Christian Kofane from Bayer Leverkusen.
Mikel Arteta is highly impressed with the 19-year-old. Also, many other English clubs are tracking the Cameroonian. Furthermore, Real Madrid are keeping an eye on the Leverkusen striker.
The German club would be open to a deal if a bid of around €60-70 million arrives on their table. So, the Gunners will have to make a decision early, as other clubs are also monitoring Kofane.
