Manchester United are eyeing several midfielders next summer. Their priority is clear: they have to replace Casemiro, as the Brazilian will leave next summer.
Apart from that, they want to have a replacement in line for Manuel Ugarte if the Uruguayan decides to leave Old Trafford because of the lack of game time.
Now, there is no doubt that Manchester United have Sandro Tonali as one of the priority signings for next summer. However, signing Tonali will not be easy.
Transfer News Live already reported that the Red Devils are considering dropping their interest in Tonali because of the price associated with the player.
However, Manchester United are plotting a secret plan to complete the signing of Sandro Tonali next summer.
According to Football Insider, Newcastle United are considering a move for Manuel Ugarte next summer because the midfielder is not happy at Old Trafford.
So, Manchester United could try to lower Tonali’s price by offering Ugarte in a swap deal. However, it is fair to say that United have other midfield targets as well.
They also have the likes of Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba, and Adam Wharton on their list of midfield targets.
Apart from that, the Red Devils are also considering a move for the Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes, who could leave St. James’ Park next summer.
However, if Newcastle try to sign Ugarte, Manchester United would try to get Tonali by lowering his price with the help of their Uruguayan midfielder.
