Anthony Gordon is now attracting interest from top European clubs. Premier League clubs were already monitoring the Newcastle United forward.
Now, a top Champions League club has joined the race to sign the former Everton man. Now, Newcastle United are already bracing for a busy transfer window next summer.
Many of their star performers have attracted attention from several top clubs across Europe. Last summer, Alexander Isak left for Liverpool after going against the club.
So, the Magpies will be careful not to let situations like that arise this summer. The CEO of Newcastle has already spoken about this.
David Hopkinson has already stated that the club will be willing to let players leave, but on their own terms. Also, Newcastle will make a decision on the future of Eddie Howe at the end of the season.
After enjoying a successful run as the manager of the Magpies, the former Bournemouth boss is facing tough times at St. James’ Park.
So, if Anthony Gordon leaves, it will make his job tougher, unless Newcastle can find a suitable replacement, something they failed to deliver when Isak left.
Now, according to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have made Anthony Gordon their priority target for the left wing next summer.
The Bavarians believe that a fee of around €60-70 million would be enough to secure his signing. Now, Newcastle’s valuation for Gordon is much higher than what Bayern are planning.
