Cesc Fabregas has quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about young managers in Europe after an impressive start to his coaching career.

His work in Italy has not gone unnoticed, and speculation is already building around a potential return to the Premier League.

Fabregas is currently in charge of Como, which is his first role in senior management. He initially took over on an interim basis in 2023 when the club were still in the second tier.

Within months, he guided them to promotion to Serie A. The progress has continued this season.

Como now sit fifth in the table and are just three points behind Juventus in the race for Champions League qualification.

That rise has increased interest in Fabregas from top clubs. Naturally, attention has turned towards his former teams in England.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea remain closely linked to him, given his history at those clubs. However, not all routes appear equally likely.

According to Kaveh Solhekol, there is a long-term belief that Fabregas could return to Arsenal in a managerial role one day. Speaking on Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast, he said:

“Cesc Fabregas, what I’ve been told, there’s some kind of suggestion that long-term, the plan for him is to manage Arsenal one day.

“I’m not sure moving to Chelsea would be part of his career progression.”

That stance points towards a clearer direction for the Spaniard’s future. While links with Chelsea continue to surface, they do not appear to align with his current trajectory.

Meanwhile, Como remain focused on the present. Sporting director Ludi addressed the rumours and suggested there is no immediate concern over Fabregas’ future. He said:

“We’re calm. We’re focused on these next few games.

“We’re incredibly aligned with Cesc but we can’t predict the future. However, I’m sure that we will continue this journey together.”

Fabregas made 303 appearances for Arsenal and later enjoyed success at Chelsea, where he won multiple trophies.

However, if he does return to England in the future, the early signs suggest Arsenal could be his preferred destination.
