Real Madrid’s midfield planning continues behind the scenes as the club prepares for the next stage of its rebuild.
Several names remain under consideration at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the hierarchy assessing different profiles before making a final decision.
Manchester City midfielder Rodri continues to hold strong admiration inside the club.
Real Madrid admire Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez and they have already started on a possible move for the Argentine international.
But some figures within the club reportedly believe Madrid should focus on a different midfielder altogether following the performances produced in England this season.
According to TEAMtalk, Real Madrid are now starting to show interest in Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice ahead of the summer transfer window.
Rice has played a major role in helping his club win the Premier League title. He is now set to become one of the key figures for England at the upcoming World Cup.
The midfielder has enjoyed an outstanding campaign under Mikel Arteta and emerged as one of Arsenal’s most important players during the title-winning season.
The England international will be among the first names on Thomas Tuchel’s teamsheet at the World Cup this summer.
Although Arsenal fell short in their pursuit of Champions League success, Rice’s performances only strengthened his growing reputation across Europe.
Despite the admiration from Madrid, Arsenal remain calm regarding his future.
They are already discussing a new deal with Rice. The Gunners are confident that he will commit his long-term future to the project. The midfielder remains under contract till 2028.
However, Transfer News Live already reported that Arsenal are looking at replacements for another midfielder.
For now, Real Madrid continue considering multiple midfield options as internal discussions continue at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Declan Rice’s name is now becoming increasingly prominent among those helping shape the club’s long-term plans.
