Arsenal continue shaping their plans for the summer transfer window after a historic campaign under Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners ended their 22-year wait for a Premier League title and also reached the Champions League final.
Despite that success, the club still wants to strengthen several positions. A new left winger remains one of the priorities ahead of next season.
However, any arrivals could force Arsenal to make difficult decisions regarding current squad members. One player attracting growing interest is Leandro Trossard.
According to beIN Sports, Turkish giants Besiktas have made contact with Arsenal over a possible transfer.
The report claims club president Serdal Adali has already approached the Gunners to discuss the conditions of a deal.
Besiktas reportedly view Trossard as a priority target this summer. The Belgian forward enters the final year of his current contract at the Emirates Stadium.
That situation has naturally increased speculation surrounding his future. Arsenal’s pursuit of a new winger has also added further uncertainty.
Reports suggest either Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli could leave if the club secures another attacking addition.
At present, Trossard appears to be attracting the strongest interest from potential buyers. Arsenal signed Trossard from Brighton during the January transfer window in 2023.
The move cost around £27M and quickly proved to be excellent value. Since arriving at the club, he has made 174 appearances across all competitions.
During that period, he scored 36 goals and provided 34 assists. Trossard featured 50 times during the most recent campaign.
🚨 Beşiktaş are preparing an official €20M offer to Arsenal for Leandro Trossard.
The Turkish side are also ready to offer the Belgium international a salary worth between €7M and €8M per year in an attempt to convince him to join.
