Arsenal get green light to sign two top targets

Mikel Arteta is already looking at ways to improve his squad.

Arsenal ended their 22-year wait for a Premier League title during a remarkable 2025/26 campaign.

The Gunners also reached the Champions League final and showed they can compete with the best teams in Europe.

However, Mikel Arteta is already looking at ways to improve his squad. The Arsenal manager wants to build on last season’s success and ensure his side remain at the top.

Several attacking players have already been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. Meanwhile, questions remain over the futures of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.

That has increased speculation about possible additions in the final third. Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour believes the club should target two specific players this summer.

Speaking to the Mirror, the Arsenal legend backed the Gunners to pursue Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers and Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi.

Both players enjoyed outstanding seasons and continue to attract interest from several top clubs. Rogers helped Aston Villa secure Europa League glory and a top-four Premier League finish.

His performances also earned him a place in England’s World Cup squad.

Kroupi also enjoyed an excellent campaign. The Bournemouth forward scored 13 goals during his first season in English football.

One of those goals came in a 1-1 draw against Manchester City, a result that helped Arsenal secure the Premier League title. Parlour believes Rogers would be an ideal fit for Arteta’s squad. He said:

“I think Rogers is a fantastic player. He can play off the left-hand side as well. I think we need someone off the left.

“I don’t know what will happen with Trossard or Martinelli, but Rogers can play in the No. 10 role as well, which he’s done very well at Aston Villa.

“I’m interested to see where Rogers plays for England at the World Cup.

“Kroupi’s a very good, talented player, there’s no doubt about that.

So, it will be interesting to see whether Arsenal can sign both players this summer, as signing Rogers and Kroupi will demand massive investments.
