Arsenal continue working on summer transfer plans after ending their 22-year wait for a Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen his squad as the Gunners prepare to defend their crown and challenge again in Europe.
Several attacking players have already been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. One name that continues to attract attention is Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.
The England international enjoyed a superb campaign for Villa. He helped the club win the Europa League and secure a top-four Premier League finish.
His performances also earned him a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
That has created questions about whether a potential transfer could be delayed until after the tournament.
If England reach the World Cup final or the third-place play-off, Rogers would remain on international duty until at least July 18. However, Arsenal may not need to wait that long.
Tuchel has confirmed that England players can leave camp to complete transfer business if the circumstances are right.
The England manager explained his position ahead of the team’s first pre-tournament friendly against New Zealand. He said (via GOAL):
“It’s about common sense. I would not like it the day before a match, or on a matchday, that’s the policy. Maybe two days before too, but let’s see.
“But everything else if it’s done privately, efficiently and quietly then we are always happy to help.
“It helps to have clarity around any player, the best thing we can have is that so if anyone has a chance to complete a change of club we will not stand in their way.
“But it has to align, of course, with our schedule and our goals which is to be focused and prepared for matches. No player has approached me yet but our doctor is ready to do any medicals!”
Those comments from the England manager will encourage Arsenal if they decide to intensify their pursuit of Morgan Rogers. The club have yet to submit an official offer.
