Marcus Rashford has endured a turbulent period at Manchester United after falling out of favour under former manager Ruben Amorim.
The forward lost his regular place during the 2024/25 campaign and eventually sought opportunities away from Old Trafford.
Aston Villa offered that escape route in February 2025, signing Rashford on loan for the remainder of the season.
He made 17 appearances across all competitions for Villa and produced four goals alongside six assists.
However, Villa decided against activating their £40 million purchase option and Rashford returned to Manchester United that summer.
Barcelona then signed him on loan for the 2025/26 campaign, giving the England international another opportunity abroad.
Rashford enjoyed an impressive season in Spain, scoring 14 goals from 49 appearances across all competitions.
His La Liga campaign produced eight goals and seven assists across 32 matches as Barcelona retained the league title.
Despite those performances, Barcelona declined their €30 million purchase option and instead moved for Anthony Gordon.
Rashford consequently returned to Manchester United and held clear-the-air talks after Michael Carrick took charge this summer.
The 28-year-old returned competitively against Hull City, appearing as a half-time substitute during United’s 2-0 defeat.
However, another club has now entered the race as the September transfer deadline rapidly approaches.
According to Turkish newspaper Fotomac, Fenerbahce are preparing a €25 million offer to sign Rashford permanently from Manchester United.
Fenerbahce officials Cihan Kamer and Oguz Cetin have travelled to England to hold direct discussions with Manchester United.
The Turkish club recently secured Champions League qualification and now want to strengthen their attacking options further.
Fotomac reports that Fenerbahce want to present their permanent proposal during talks with Manchester United on Friday.
Their representatives could also speak directly with Rashford while they remain in England for negotiations.
Manchester United are open to selling Rashford despite Carrick reintegrating him into the first-team squad this season.
