Sean Dyche could return to Premier League management just eight months after his brief spell at Nottingham Forest ended.
The 55-year-old has extensive experience in English football following previous spells with Watford, Burnley and Everton.
His decade at Burnley remains the defining period of his managerial career. Dyche secured two Premier League promotions and guided the Clarets into European competition.
He later helped Everton survive difficult relegation battles before taking charge of Nottingham Forest in late 2025. That appointment lasted only 114 days, with Forest dismissing Dyche in February.
After spending time away from management and working in punditry, the former Burnley boss is now ready to consider another opportunity.
According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace are considering Sean Dyche among their potential replacements for Pierre Sage.
The Palace hierarchy have admired Dyche for some time, and his name has previously featured prominently among their managerial options.
Sage remains in charge and retains the board’s backing for now. However, his position has come under pressure following a difficult start to his tenure at Selhurst Park.
Palace have recently shown signs of improvement, losing only once across their last five matches in all competitions. Nevertheless, chairman Steve Parish has acknowledged that the club remain on high alert.
Upcoming fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Lyon, Brighton and Besiktas could therefore prove important for Sage’s future.
Football Insider reports that it remains unclear where Dyche ranks among Palace’s possible replacements. Thomas Frank is also a target for Palace.
However, the club could revisit its long-standing interest if it decides to dismiss Sage. Such an appointment would represent a change from Palace’s recent managerial direction.
Dyche is not relying solely on the Palace opportunity either. Other clubs are also believed to be monitoring his situation, with several Premier League managers currently facing pressure.
No club has made a change yet, but managerial decisions could follow the international break.
Dyche is now open to returning to the dugout and is prepared to listen to offers as he targets another opportunity in Premier League management.
