Arsenal have carried their strong momentum into the 2026–27 Premier League campaign. Mikel Arteta’s side have won five of their opening six matches.
Their latest victory came against Leeds United, with Bruno Guimaraes scoring the decisive goal. The Brazilian was Arsenal’s headline summer arrival after completing a £75 million move from Newcastle United.
Piero Hincapie and Ezri Konsa strengthened the defence, while Christos Tzolis added another attacking option. However, Arsenal could return to the market for another major forward in 2027.
The Gunners could renew their pursuit of Juventus star Kenan Yildiz. Arsenal explored a move for the Turkey international during the summer.
Also, Transfer News Live has reported their interest extensively. Juventus received massive bids for Yildiz during the previous window.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were among the clubs interested, but Juventus refused to consider those approaches.
The Italian club could demand significantly more than €120 million before approving a future sale. Their valuation could potentially rise as high as €150 million.
Arsenal’s prospects have now received encouragement from Bayern Munich’s position.
According to Christian Falk, Bayern are unlikely to compete for their former academy player because of the enormous financial commitment required.
Yildiz spent a decade with Bayern between 2012 and 2022 before leaving the German club.
Falk explained that Bayern regret allowing the forward to depart for free. However, they are unwilling to spend heavily correcting that decision.
Real Madrid could therefore remain another potential contender. However, Bayern stepping aside removes one major competitor if Arsenal launch another attempt to secure Yildiz in 2027.
