After weeks of speculations and rumours, Manchester United have finally agreed a deal with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo.
The Athletic confirmed this news earlier today. Manchester United sent their third bid for the player, which was £70 million up front and £5 million on add-ons.
The Red Devils submitted their first bid of £55 million at the beginning of June. However, Brentford outright rejected the offer as it was well below their valuation of the player.
After that, Manchester United sent their second bid, which was £62.5 million. But, once again, the Bees rejected the offer as it did not meet their valuation.
Finally, United sent their final bid, and it satisfied Brentford, and they agreed to the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United.
The Red Devils fans will see the Cameroonian forward in the famous red shirt this season.
Manchester United will play their first game of the preseason against Leeds United in Stockholm tomorrow.
So, Mbeumo will not feature in that game as his medical and the official announcement of the signing are still pending.
However, United fans can expect to see Matheus Cunha in action in that game. But now, the question is, when will Bryan Mbeumo undergo his medical?
According to CentreDevils, Bryan Mbeumo is scheduled to have the first part of his medical on Saturday and the rest on Sunday.
After that, it is expected that Mbeumo will sign his Manchester United contract. And after that, the Red Devils will officially announce his signing.
Even though Bryan Mbeumo will not take part in the first preseason game against Leeds United, oit expected that the 25-year-old will sign just in time to make the flight to the USA.
So, Manchester United fans can expect to see Bryan Mbeumo in action in the red shirt when Manchester United take on West Ham United in the Premier League Summer Series game at MetLife Stadium.
