Arsenal are having a fantastic transfer window with Andrea Berta leading the way.
The Gunners have made some significant signings, which show their intent to finally bring the Premier League title back to the Emirates.
They have been finishing as the second-best side for a number of seasons. The Arsenal board and manager both had had enough.
In recent seasons, the lack of squad depth has hampered the title charge from the Gunners. That is why Mikel Arteta wants to address that issue.
Also, last season, the main problem Arsenal were facing was the lack of goals from open play. The Gunners were relying heavily on set pieces.
This season, they have brought in Viktor Gyokeres, a proven goal scorer who has been impressive for Sporting CP.
Apart from him, Arsenal want to bring in another winger. They have already signed Noni Madueke. However, they want to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid as well.
However, the Gunners are struggling to make space for the Brazilian in their squad and wage bill.
Meanwhile, out of nowhere, Borussia Dortmund can help Arsenal sign Rodrygo.
According to Fichajes, the German giants are eyeing a move for Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard. The Belgian’s contract is set to expire in 2026.
That is why Arsenal are looking to move him on. The Gunners are asking for a mere €15 million. Dortmund are currently showing interest in signing the Belgian.
If the 30-year-old leaves the club, then Arsenal will also save £90,000 per week in terms of his salary.
Thus, Arsenal will have more funds to pursue the Rodrygo deal. Real Madrid are also reconsidering their decision on the Brazilian due to the lack of bids.
If Dortmund signs Trossard, Arsenal are easily move for Rodrygo to fill the void in the squad, and in this way, the German side will help the Gunners to land the Brazilian.
