Barcelona had a terrific season last year, even though they failed to win the Champions League.

They also started this season fantastically. In their first preseason game, they won against Visel Kobe by 3-1.

In their next game, against FC Seoul, the Blaugrana thrashed them by 7-3. Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for Barcelona in this game.

The future of the Polish international is up in the air. Lewandowski’s contract with Barcelona will expire next year.

So, if he leaves, Barcelona need to have a replacement ready. That is why they are also eyeing a striker.

Barcelona have set their sights on a Manchester United target. The Red Devils are having a forgettable transfer window.

They managed to get just two signings over the line this summer. They signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. But, they are also eyeing a striker.

However, many of the elite strikers of Europe have rejected a move to Manchester United as they are not in Europe next season.

Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike are the prime examples of that. Now, Manchester United are also eyeing a striker from Chelsea.

But, Barcelona also have the same man on their target list. Apart from that, Barcelona can offer Champions League football as well.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Manchester United target from Chelsea that Barcelona want to sign is Nicolas Jackson.

Last year, the Chelsea forward played 37 games in all competitions and scored 13 goals and provided 6 assists.

The Blues want a fee of around £80m and £100m from any club that wants to sign Jackson.

Both Manchester United and Barcelona will struggle to meet such a demand. However, none of the clubs have started negotiations yet.

It is expected that Chelsea would agree a fee much lower than what they are asking for Nicolas Jackson.
