Arsenal are not done yet. After securing Viktor Gyokeres, the Gunners are already planning their next signing in the transfer market. They are reportedly looking to sign Eberechi Eze.

The Crystal Palace star has been on Mikel Arteta’s radar for a while. He helped Crystal Palace immensely to become the FA Cup champions.

This is the first time in their history that Crystal Palace have won a major trophy. The English international even scored the only goal in that FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Arteta believes Eze could be a key addition to his squad. The Arsenal boss is determined this season to secure the Premier League title, and he is showing that intent in the transfer market.

But there is one big problem Arsenal is facing in their quest to seal the deal for Eberechi Eze, and that is his release clause.

Eze’s current contract includes a £67.5 million clause. That figure is a major roadblock.

Arsenal do not want to trigger it. They feel it is too high and are hoping Palace might agree to a lower fee. But so far, no talks have taken place between the clubs.

Because of that, the Gunners have started exploring backup options. And one name gaining momentum is Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.

According to Football London, Arsenal see Rogers as a strong alternative. The 23-year-old impressed last season with his pace and eye for goal.

Villa are not planning to sell. However, with Financial Fair Play pressures building, Arsenal believe a deal could become possible later this summer.

For now, Eze remains the priority. But if Palace stay firm on the release clause, Arsenal could make their move for Rogers instead.

Either way, the North London club seem determined to stack their attack with fresh energy ahead of the new campaign.
