Torino are not messing around this summer. The club is moving fast,  getting ready for the next season and it is starting to show.

The Serie A side are looking to make their way further up the table after finishing mid-table last campaign which will have been very disappointing.

There are a few new faces, such as Zakaria Aboukhla, Franco Israel, and Cyril Ngonge, to name some of them.

There is one more position they are still working on to improve the depth in that area.

They want a striker who can handle the season changing moments and bring a goal-scoring threat.

The club had been watching closely, and the player had already spoken to the manager of Torino.

This particular striker has previously been a unique talent at all his other clubs.

He assisted his side come 2nd in Serie A during their previous campaign. However, the player will be out of contract come 2026 so his current club are looking to cash in now whilst interest is high.

Torino has now decided to take the next step to securing this player.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Torino has reached full agreement on personal terms with Gio Simeone.

The 3o year old has agreed on his wages and the duration of the contract. Now the only thing left is to reach a deal with Napoli.

The player initially wanted to move away from Italy, but their manager Marco Baroni convinced him to stay.

Torino still thinks the move is worth it as it brings top-level experience, a goal-scoring threat, and more depth up front.

Talks are still ongoing, but the green light from the player signals Torino’s intent to swiftly wrap this deal up .
