Manchester United were having a horrible season. They were struggling to even get a point from games they should have won on paper.

The Red Devils were struggling to score goals as both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee were struggling in front of the goal.

Manchester United’s best player of the season, Bruno Fernandes, kept on creating chances for the forwards. However, they kept on squandering those chances.

It is a cumulative failure of the forwards that resulted in the 15th-place finish in the Premier League for the Red Devils.

That is why Ruben Amorim wanted to change and create a team from scratch. He has already offloaded Marcus Rashford to Barcelona.

Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Jadon Sancho are already up for sale. The Red Devils are also looking to find a club for Rasmus Hojlund.

The Danish striker has drawn interest from Inter Milan, Juventus, Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, and RB Leipzig.

There are also talks about a potential swap deal between Manchester United and RB Leipzig involving Rasmus Hojlund and Benjamin Sesko, the striker Amorim wants to sign.

However, last January, Manchester United were in talks with a Premier League starlet to solve their problems in front of goal.

But the Red Devils failed to get that deal over the line. At the start of the summer transfer window, there were talks about United going back in for him.

However, it looks like the target could be slipping away from the grasp of the Red Devils as another Premier League club has joined the race.

According to The Athletic, Everton have submitted a bid of £40 million to Southampton to sign Tyler Dibling.

Southampton know that their wonderkid is drawing interest from big clubs across Europe.

So, it will be interesting to see whether Manchester United reignite their interest in Tyler Dibling or not after Everton jumped ahead of them after submitting a new bid.
