Despite relegation last season, there is a lot of optimism surrounding Ipswich Town.
The Tractor Boys are favourites to win the Championship and make an instant return to the Premier League.
So far, they have made the signings of David Button, Azor Matusiwa, Cedric Kipre and Ashley Young.
Although they have lost Liam Dealp and captain Sam Morsy, the nucleus of the squad has been retained.
Another player set to be retained is also their next signing.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Ipswich are set to sign Jens Cajuste from Serie A winners Napoli.
He states that Kieran McKenna’s side will pay a loan fee of two million Euros, with an obligation to buy the player for 7.5 million Euros if they get promoted.
The midfielder impressed despite the poor collective season, and many thought retaining his services wouldn’t be possible after relegation.
Well, it looks like they are going to bring him in regardless – despite links with Turkish side Besiktas.
Having the likes of Cajuste, Matusiwa and Jack Taylor in midfield makes Ipswich very strong in the middle of the park.
With such a club icon as Morsy departing the club, it is key for Ipswich to make sure he is replaced properly.
It looks like they are doing just that – with perhaps more incomings in that area to come too.
You can see why they are favourites to win the league with these sort of signings.
