There has been little turnover at Sevilla so far this summer.
Kelechi Iheanacho rejoined the first team after his loan at Middlesbrough.
Whilst Gabriel Suazo and Alfon Gonzalez joined the club on free transfers.
Meanwhile, Saul and Sambi Lokonga have not rejoined after their loans last season, and Suso left on a free.
That is about it. No money in, no money out. Incomings and departures including loans that expired.
It’s looked like that could change for a while.
Serie A Champions Napoli have been interested in Juanlu Sanchez, with Wolves also interested.
Well, there has been in the bump in the road for Antonio Conte’s side.
As per Fabrizio Romano, their bid of 18 million Euros has been rejected by the Spanish side.
He states that Sevilla want 20 million Euros plus a sell on clause – something Wolves have already offered.
Which suggests that the player would prefer to join Napoli than Wolves, but the Italians are not matching Wolves’ offer.
Juanlu is a versatile player, capable of playing as a right-back or right-winger.
This may suggest that Conte is looking to revert back to his trusted three at the back formation, with Juanlu as a wing-back.
Meanwhile, Wolves currently play with a three at the back, making him the perfect replacement for Nelson Semedo.
Let’s see if a deal can be closed soon, and which club will get their hands on the 21-year old talent.
