It has already been a crazy summer for Nottingham Forest.
Star player Morgan Gibbs-White signed a new contract despite being booked in for a medical at Tottenham Hotspur.
They were promoted from the Conference League to Europa League after Crystal Palace were kicked out.
In terms of incomings – Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha both joined from Brazilian side Botafogo.
Meanwhile, Dan Ndoye came in from Bologna, and Angus Gunn was signed as a free agent to be a back up goalkeeper.
There have been a few outgoings including Danilo, who joined the aforementioned Botafogo.
Most notably, Anthony Elanga left for Newcastle United.
Fans felt like another winger was needed even with Elanga at the club.
So there was an expectation to sign a winger, even after the arrival of Ndoye.
Well, it looks like that has come to light.
As per David Ornstein, Forest have agreed a deal to sign Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town for £37.5m.
This comes despite Everton having an interest in the winger.
Which would marry up with Ornstein saying that both Forest and the player have alternatives, meaning the transfer isn’t done.
However, he also states that a transfer is “ready pending final decisions”.
On the face of it, this seems a lot for a player in the Championship – even if he has played in the top flight before.
That said, he is a good player with a big upside.
Many said that Forest had overpaid for Gibbs-White when they signed him, but that has proved money well spent.
Hutchinson is the same age that the Forest playmaker was when he made the move from Wolves.
So, you can see why they have made this large investment.
There will also be the benefit of the winger having played with Elliot Anderson for England U21s.
Both players started the final where England beat Germany 3-2 – where Hutchinson netted in the first half.
Furthermore, the captain of that side was James McAtee – who is also set to sign for the club, from Manchester City.
