This weekend sees the 25/26 Serie A season kick offs this weekend.
There are plenty of interesting games across the board.
Newly promoted side Sassuolo host champions Napoli, whilst Lazio travel to Como.
One of the stand out games will be in the capital, where Roma welcome Bologna.
The visitors may have a brand new player able to make his debut at the Olympico.
According to Santi Aouna, Bologna have agreed a deal with Marseille for Jonathan Rowe.
He reports that they will pay 19 million Euros, as well as a 10% sell on clause.
The winger only joined Marseille last summer, and was seen as a long term investment.
However, a bust up with Adrien Rabiot after their defeat at Rennes has lead to both players being transfer listed.
Even then, Rowe only started six Ligue 1 games last season – something he would not hope to happen again.
It was a more productive summer for him, scoring twice at the U21 Euros, including the winner in the final.
He will not be the only British player over in Italy. Far from it in fact.
When Bologna face Milan next month, he could face compatriots Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fikayo Tomori.
Meanwhile, he could face Lloyd Kelly when they play Juventus in December.
And so on and so forth.
There are many Scottish players in the league too – notably Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour of Napoli.
But also Che Adams of Torino, Josh Doig of Sassuolo, Lennon Miller of Udinese, and several other Scottish stars.
Fellow England U21 international Samuel Iling-Junior also played for Bologna, in the first half of last season.
He made just seven Serie A appearances, and no starts during his loan, so Rowe will be hoping for much better fortune.
Very exciting to see another British player playing in Serie A.
Also very cool to see a British player moving from one European League to another.
It was never unheard of for Brits to play abroad, but it is far, far more common than it used to be.
