Tottenham are once again looking at the transfer market for a creative player. The London side made attempts in the summer but failed to land some of their main targets.

With the Premier League race set to become even tougher in the second half of the season, plans are already underway for January.

The focus is on the midfield. Spurs have struggled to add the type of player who can unlock defenses and bring more control in the attacking third.

In the summer, they chased several options but came up short. Arsenal won the race for Eberechi Eze, while Nottingham Forest blocked Morgan Gibbs-White before he made his move to London.

Even though they signed Xavi Simons late in the window this summer, the need for another creator has only grown.

Tottenham Hotspur are now ready to reignite their interest in a player in January they failed to sign this summer, according to CaughtOffside.

Spurs believed they were close to activating a release clause for Morgan Gibbs-White.

But the deal collapsed when Forest stood firm and threatened legal action. Gibbs-White then signed a new contract until 2028, appearing to shut the door on a move.

Transfer News Live had already reported earlier this year that Tottenham were keen on him, and the interest has not faded.

Spurs are now preparing to test Nottingham Forest again with an offer of around €65–70 million.

Gibbs-White has been vital for Forest. Last season, he played 37 league matches, scoring five goals and assisting eight more.

His ability to break lines with clever passing and to arrive in dangerous positions makes him one of the most complete English attacking midfielders of his generation.

Now, with Forest competing in the Europa League, his profile is expected to grow even further.

For Tottenham, Morgan Gibbs-White is clearly a name that will not leave their radar any time soon.
