Bruno Fernandes makes Manchester United decision

This decision comes with a reason.

Bruno Fernandes has made a decision. The Manchester United captain has been linked with a move away from the club.

During the summer, Saudi clubs showed interest in the Portuguese midfielder.

Al-Hilal made an approach before the Club World Cup. That move did not happen. However, the rumours of a potential move continued.

Reports later linked Al-Nassr and Al Ittihad with further offers. Both clubs were said to be serious. But Fernandes did not move.

Now, according to talkSPORT, he has made his position clear. Bruno Fernandes will not leave Manchester United in the winter window.

The captain of the Red Devils plans to stay for the entire 2025–26 season. He has reportedly informed interested clubs of his decision. This decision comes with a reason.

The 2026 World Cup is 6 months away. Fernandes wants full focus on his final chance at the tournament. A transfer to Saudi Arabia before then does not fit into those plans.

But the 31-year-old is not closing the door on an exit from Manchester United. After the World Cup, everything could change.

Saudi clubs remain interested. Fernandes could double his £300,000-per-week wages if he agrees to a move in 2026. Also, there is one man who could play a decisive role in this entire saga.

Cristiano Ronaldo remains a major influence at Al-Nassr. The Manchester United legend is the current international colleague of Fernandes.

The two share a close relationship on and off the pitch as the midfielder idolises Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, it is still unknown whether Ronaldo can sway Fernandes before the summer.

Reports suggest Ronaldo now plays massive a role in Al-Nassr’s recruitment strategy. If Bruno Fernandes leaves, Ronaldo could be the one who makes it happen.

For now, Manchester United keep their captain. But after the World Cup, the decision may not be the same.
