Napoli Assistant Manager let’s slip that Manchester Untied deal is 99% done

Napoli are showing significant interest.

Manchester United transfer update

Manchester United will be feeling a bit confident after their 4-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.

The Red Devils shrugged off their disappointment against West Ham United in midweek, where they had to settle for a point even after getting in front.

Also, in the past week against Everton, Manchester United suffered a heartbreaking loss to a 10-man Everton side.

That is why pressure was piling on Ruben Amorim. But this win will surely help him ease some pressure. Manchester United are now sixth in the Premier League table.

However, it is quite evident by now that Ruben Amorim does not trust Manchester United academy players.

And, he is also getting criticised because of the way he is treating Kobbie Mainoo. The England international is yet to start a Premier League game this season.

In total, Mainoo has played 183 minutes so far this season. In this way, he will not get into the England squad for the World Cup.

Against Wolves, the 20-year-old got only 12 minutes on the pitch. In this way, his progress as a player is getting stalled.

That is why he is looking for a move, and Napoli are showing significant interest in signing the Manchester United man.

In the last couple of seasons, they have signed Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay from United. And, these players are having a brilliant impact on the pitch for Antonio Conte’s team.

Now, an Italian journalist, Luca Cerchione, provided significant updates on Napoli’s interest (quotes via Area Napoli):

“In the past few days, I received a phone call from a friend of Mr. Stellini, who informed me that he had learned that there had been a significant acceleration in the sale of Kobbie Mainoo, even talking about percentages close to 99%.”

So, if Mainoo does get his move to Napoli, it might help him become a better player and also push his chances higher of making it to the World Cup squad of England.
