Kobbie Mainoo was one of the best talents to emerge from the Manchester United academy in recent years.

He burst onto the scene when he started getting regular game time under Erik ten Hag. His goal against Manchester City in the FA Cup final will be remembered by Manchester United fans fondly.

However, under Ruben Amorim, things are not as planned for Kobbie Mainoo. He was one of the best England players in the last Euro, which the Three Lions lost against Spain in the final.

Kobbie Mainoo wants to play for England against and this time in the World Cup next. But if he sits on the bench for every game, finding a place in the England squad will become tough.

That is why the 20-year-old has expressed his wish to leave the club on loan. However, Manchester United are not ready to allow him to leave on loan. They are looking for a permanent transfer.

Now, Kobbie Mainoo has picked the club he wants to play for after leaving Manchester United. The midfielder has also informed his club about his choice.

Real Madrid are looking for a midfielder, and they have set their sights on Mainoo. However, the England international is not ready to join the Madrid club.

Instead, according to The Mirror, Kobbie Mainoo wants to join Napoli as he believes that he could develop well under Antonio Conte.

However, the current Manchester United boss, Ruben Amorim, has clearly stated in the recent press conference that he wants Mainoo to stay.

Things are expected to get interesting in the last few days of the transfer window.
