Arsenal supporters are preparing for one of the biggest nights in the club’s recent history after the Gunners booked their place in the Champions League final.
Mikel Arteta’s side secured their spot with a 2-1 aggregate victory over Atletico Madrid. Bukayo Saka scored the decisive goal in the second leg at the Emirates Stadium.
Now, attention has shifted towards Budapest, where Arsenal will attempt to win the Champions League for the first time in their history later this month.
Transfer News Live already revealed that UEFA have changed the kick-off time of Arsenal’s much-awaited Champions League final.
However, according to The Sun, supporters hoping to travel to Hungary are facing a massive financial problem.
The cost of attending the final could break records, with ticket prices, flights and hotels all rising sharply ahead of the showpiece event.
UEFA have allocated Arsenal 16,824 tickets for the final, but supporters will have to pay huge amounts to secure seats.
Category 1 tickets are priced at £820, while restricted-view seats in the same section cost £656. Meanwhile, Category 2 tickets are valued at £561.
The cheapest standard tickets available are Category 3 seats, which cost £155. However, tickets are only part of the problem for travelling fans.
Flights from London to Budapest have also exploded in price. As things stand, the cheapest direct flights are now around £860, representing a massive increase compared to prices just days later.
Supporters looking for cheaper alternatives may have to accept exhausting journeys with multiple stopovers.
Meanwhile, accommodation prices have also surged dramatically. The cheapest hotels in Budapest city centre are now costing more than £1,100 for two nights during the final weekend.
Just one week later, those same hotels are available for less than £300.
Because of those huge increases, the 2026 Champions League final could now become the most expensive final on record for supporters attending the match.
Arsenal will face either Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich in the final on May 30.
