Arsenal are gearing up to face Brentford in their next Premier League game. With Manchester City dispatching Fulham comfortably by 3-0, the pressure is now on the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta’s men must win at the Gtech Community Stadium to restore their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

Ahead of the game, Arteta has already done his press conference where he addressed the injury problem that Arsenal are facing.

The Gunners have a jam-packed schedule as they will face Wigan Athletic this Sunday in the FA Cup fourth-round tie.

After that, they face Wolves in the midweek, followed by the north London derby next Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

So, Arteta needs as many fit players as possible. However, a new name has been added to the injury list of Arsenal, which will now surely increase Arteta’s headache.

According to The Athletic, Kai Havertz will be out of action for weeks due to a muscular injury. Arsenal will be hoping to have him back before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

His career with the Gunners has been marred by injuries. Also, Mikel Arteta will be worried because he might sense that history is repeating itself. His injury list is getting longer.

Mikel Merino might be done for the season. Max Dowman is unavailable for the Gunners, and Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Leandro Trossard’s availability is uncertain.

So, with Havertz joining the list, Arteta will have a headache now with such a packed fixture list that he has to deal with.

Arsenal did strengthen their squad in the summer and invested heavily. But they might now regret not signing backups in January despite having injury problems.
