Arsenal winger Noni Madueke is set for a spell on the sidelines. The England star suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City.
Madueke started the game on the right wing. The winger impressed in the first half. Yet, Bukayo Saka replaced him at half-time.
The early substitution led to confusion at the time. But the confirmation came later that Madueke had a knee issue.
Head coach Mikel Arteta was unable to provide full details post-match. But after scans conducted on Monday, the Gunners have now revealed the extent of the injury.
According to The Athletic, Madueke could be out for approximately two months. However, the England international has avoided a more serious ACL injury.
Madueke joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer. Arteta is integrating him gradually into the squad. His absence will be a blow to Arteta’s plans.
