Arsenal have stepped up their search for a new striker ahead of the summer transfer window.
Despite sitting top of the Premier League and reaching the Champions League semi-finals, concerns remain over their attacking output.
The club feel they need more reliability in front of the goal. That is why changes are being considered. Viktor Gyokeres arrived from Sporting Lisbon last summer but has struggled to deliver consistently.
As a result, Arsenal are now looking at alternative options to lead the line. There are reports that the Gunners are open to selling Gyokeres next summer. So, their focus has shifted elsewhere.
Andrea Berta was recently spotted attending a Galatasaray match, and the visit quickly raised questions. It did not take long for reports to clarify the purpose behind that trip.
According to journalist Serkan Korkmaz, Berta attended the game to hold talks with Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek over a move for Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen has been one of the most consistent strikers in world football in recent years. His performances have made him a long-term target for several top clubs.
This season, he has scored 20 goals and provided five assists. He followed that with an outstanding previous campaign, where he netted 37 goals in 41 matches.
However, the deal will not be straightforward. Osimhen will command a high transfer fee, and Arsenal will face competition if they decide to move forward.
Also, the Gunners are monitoring Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid. Thus, there will surely be a change up front in the Arsenal lineup next season.
