Arsenal and Chelsea are both looking to sign a forward next summer. And both have the same player on their radar.

Last night, both clubs reportedly sent their scouts to watch the player in action in a Champions League game. Now, their scouts will have only positives to report.

Mikel Arteta thought that he had found the key element missing in his squad when he signed Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP last summer.

However, the Swedish international is taking time to adjust to the Premier League.

Although he has played for Brighton & Hove Albion and Coventry City in England, he never played a Premier League match. So, the Gunners are looking for a striker next summer once again.

As for Chelsea, they had already signed two strikers last summer in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. However, they are unhappy with Delap’s output.

Also, the former Ipswich Town striker is heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United. That is why the Blues are also targeting a striker next summer.

According to TEAMtalk, both clubs had sent scouts to watch Julian Alvarez in action against Tottenham Hotspur in North London.

Although the Spurs won, which will have an impact on the future of Igor Tudor, Alvarez scored at the start of the second half.

The Argentine won the continental treble with Manchester City in 2023. So, he has the experience of playing in the English top-flight.

Barcelona are also showing interest in Alvarez. So, next summer, there will be a three-way transfer battle for the 2022 World Cup winner.
