There are certain transfers that stir curiosity, others that make fans dream.
But every once in a while, there is one that threatens to cause real noise, especially when it involves two of England’s fiercest rivals circling the same target.
With the summer window nearly upon us, Arsenal have already made it clear they want to add a dynamic wide forward to their attack.
A fresh face, someone who can offer more consistency and creativity out wide.
It is not surprising, then, that several names have appeared on their radar, from established stars in La Liga to homegrown Premier League talents. The need is clear.
The likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have shown flashes but lacked the cutting edge Arsenal will need if they are to seriously push for silverware next season.
And so the search has gone on. But recently, that search has taken a dramatic twist.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, both Arsenal and Chelsea have now enquired about a highly-rated young winger who is already well-known across the league.
The interest does not stop there; one club from outside England has also entered the picture.
However, the player’s preference appears to be staying in the Premier League.
Still only 20 years old, this rising star notched 11 goals and 10 assists last season.
Despite his youth, he has already proven that he can shine on big stages.
His valuation stands at £50 million, and for clubs looking to secure a long-term attacking option, that figure could prove to be a smart investment.
That player is Alejandro Garnacho.
Manchester United are also eager to part ways, especially after Ruben Amorim telling the player to find a new club for the next season.
Whether that stance softens in the coming weeks remains to be seen.
But one thing is certain: a tug-of-war may be brewing in London for a young talent who has only just begun to show what he can become.
