Arsenal have continued strengthening their title-winning squad during an ambitious summer transfer window under Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners have agreed a £75 million deal for Bruno Guimaraes and permanently signed Piero Hincapie. Christos Tzolis has also arrived, while Illan Meslier joined on a free transfer.
Several departures have helped balance the squad. Leandro Trossard, Jakub Kiwior and Christian Norgaard have all left north London this summer.
Arsenal are still exploring further additions before the window closes. Arteta wants more attacking depth and continues to assess long-term options at centre-forward.
Manchester United have also focused on reshaping their squad under Michael Carrick. Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans have strengthened the midfield following Casemiro’s departure.
Karl Darlow and Tynan Thompson have added further depth. Meanwhile, Rasmus Hojlund has completed a permanent move to Napoli.
United could still add another forward because Joshua Zirkzee’s future remains uncertain. That search has now led both clubs towards the same young target.
According to The Sun, Arsenal and Manchester United sent scouts to watch Kaua Elias score a perfect hat-trick for Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Brazilian struck with his head, left foot and right foot during a 5-1 victory over Kudrivka. Scouts from AC Milan and Porto also attended the match.
The report states that both Premier League clubs returned glowing assessments of the 20-year-old. His finishing, movement and composure particularly impressed those in attendance.
Arsenal have tracked Elias for several weeks. The hat-trick reportedly convinced their recruitment team to increase their interest in the versatile striker.
United also asked scouts to evaluate his recent performances. Their report highlighted his physical strength, two-footed finishing and suitability for a fast transitional system.
Shakhtar value Elias at around £30 million and expect interested clubs to meet that figure. The forward remains under contract until 2029.
Elias has scored 12 goals and supplied three assists in 39 appearances since joining Shakhtar from Fluminense in 2025.
