Arsenal make enquiry for Yan Diomande

Arsenal face a significant challenge if they decide to turn their initial enquiry into a serious pursuit.

Arsenal enter the new season after an outstanding 2025–26 campaign under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners ended their long wait for the Premier League title by finishing top with 85 points.

They also reached the Champions League final before losing to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties.

However, Arsenal have refused to stand still after their success and have continued strengthening their squad this summer.

Christos Tzolis arrived from Club Brugge for £34M following Leandro Trossard’s departure.

Meanwhile, Arsenal made Piero Hincapie’s move permanent and signed goalkeeper Illan Meslier on a free transfer.

The Premier League champions are now exploring further attacking additions despite already strengthening their wide options.

According to Ben Jacobs, Arsenal have made an enquiry for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande.

However, the enquiry is purely exploratory at this stage, with Paris Saint-Germain continuing to work on a deal for the 19-year-old.

Diomande enjoyed an outstanding breakthrough campaign with Leipzig last season, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists across 33 Bundesliga appearances.

Moreover, the winger carried that form into the 2026 World Cup with the Ivory Coast.

However, Arsenal face a significant challenge if they decide to turn their initial enquiry into a serious pursuit.

Diomande has made it clear that he favours a move to PSG, with terms already in place over a five-year contract.

Meanwhile, Leipzig hope Diomande will sign a new contract and remain with the Bundesliga club for at least one more season.
