Arsenal are bossing this summer transfer window so far. Recently, they signed Eberechi Eze, who was on his way to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners acted so fast that the Spurs had no answer to them. As soon as Kai Havertz got injured, they went for Eze, who already accepted personal terms with the Spurs.

This move left Tottenham Hotspur scrambling in the transfer market. They are now looking to find an alternative to Eberechi Eze.

The Spurs are also looking to sign a defender before the transfer window shuts. Arsenal are also looking for a defender as they are expecting another bid from FC Porto for Jakub Kiwior.

Both clubs have set their sights on the same defender. And, a bidding war is expected to start soon.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have made an official approach for Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen.

Tottenham have also made an offer to Bayer Leverkusen for the same player. The Spurs have sent a loan offer with an obligation to buy.

For Arsenal to sign Hincapie, everything will depend on Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko. If one or both leave the Gunners, then they will surely go after Piero Hincapie.

The Bayer Leverkusen defender has informed the club that he wants to leave this summer. And both Tottenham and Arsenal are desperate to sign the player.

Now, if Arsenal can complete this deal, then this will be the second instance this summer when they will hijack a deal that their North London rivals were pursuing.
