Arsenal have already made a bold move to sign an ex-Manchester City star. The Gunners signed some fantastic players last summer.

It was the first summer for Arsenal under Andrea Berta, who joined a month earlier as their Sporting Director after leaving Atletico Madrid.

Since joining the Gunners, Berta signed the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Martín Zubimendi, Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Piero Hincapie.

And that is why the Gunners are in pole position in the Premier League as well as the Champions League table. So, they know the importance of using the summer transfer window.

That is why they are already planning to make big moves next summer. Mikel Arteta will be looking to sign a new midfielder next summer.

Arteta has already planned the first summer signing. Apart from signing a midfielder, the Gunners’ boss would ideally like to sign a striker.

The Spaniard did sign Gyokeres last summer. However, he is yet to hit the ground running. His brace against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby will surely give him confidence.

But still, Arteta wants a player who can challenge Gyokeres and perhaps dislodge him from the starting lineup. Moreover, Gabriel Jesus could leave next summer.

So, they need to find a replacement for him. According to AS, Arsenal made a bid for a €120 million bid for Julian Alvarez. However, Atletico Madrid rejected that bid.

Alvarez has become a target for multiple clubs, including Chelsea and Barcelona. Since leaving Manchester City, the 2022 World Cup winner has become a prolific striker.

Atletico Madrid are looking for a bigger transfer fee. However, Arsenal’s rivals will be stunned because when they were only speculating, the Gunners had already made the offer.
