Bournemouth are preparing for another busy summer after securing a historic place in next season’s UEFA Europa League.
The Cherries have already strengthened their squad following Marco Rose’s arrival as head coach and continue planning for their first European campaign.
The south coast club have agreed a deal to sign Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche. The 21-year-old is expected to complete his medical before signing a five-year contract at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth also remain active in other areas of the squad. They want to add another left-sided centre-back, while the club are open to selling Enes Unal for the right price.
However, one of the biggest challenges facing the club this summer is keeping hold of their key players.
Several Premier League clubs have already turned their attention towards one of Bournemouth’s standout performers from last season.
According to BBC Sport, Bournemouth value Alex Scott at around £80 million after receiving strong interest from Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.
Club also insist the England midfielder is not for sale despite receiving enquiries from those clubs. Rather than considering a summer exit, Bournemouth hope Scott will commit his future to the club.
The report adds that discussions over a new contract could include improved terms and a release clause.
That approach would mirror the arrangement Bournemouth previously reached with Antoine Semenyo before his move to Manchester City in January.
The Cherries are also aiming for a more settled transfer window after several important departures disrupted preparations last summer.
Alongside their transfer activity, the club have confirmed pre-season fixtures against St Pauli, Augsburg, Real Betis, Mainz and Genoa as they prepare for their first European campaign.
