Arsenal have been working hard this summer. One major deal is already close. And, another is now starting to take shape.

The London club has nearly completed the signing of a Spanish midfielder in Martin Zubimendi, as Transfer News Live reported earlier.

But that is not the end of their plans. The Gunners want more strength in the middle of the pitch.

They are now targeting a player with solid Premier League experience.

This Bretford midfielder is known for his control, composure, and strong presence in midfield.

The 31-year-old is a consistent performer who rarely misses games. He is also a leader for the Bees, both on and off the pitch.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal made their move. They placed a bid worth over £9.3 million. The Gunner made the offer to test the Premier League club.

However, Brentford immediately rejected the bid. The Bees believe the player is worth more. Talks between the two sides are still going on.

This midfielder has played in England since 2019. He came from Italy but made his name in the Premier League.

Last season, he played 35 matches. He scored 6 goals and made 4 assists. His form has drawn interest from other teams before, but this is the first formal approach this summer.

Now 31, Christian Norgaard is at the peak of his career. He wants a new challenge, and Arsenal believe he could bring experience and balance to their midfield.

Brentford see Christian Norgaard as a key figure, but Arsenal remain hopeful that a deal can be reached.

For now, the London side will need to raise their offer if they want to sign the Danish midfielder.

It will be interesting see what happens with this Christian Norgaard to Arsenal deal in the coming weeks.
