Inter Miami want to make a statement signing next summer. Last summer, they signed Rodrigo De Paul, and the move proved to be fruitful for the Major League Soccer side.

Now, they want to repeat that next summer, as they have set their sights on a Manchester City star. The Citizens suffered a heavy defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League last 16 first leg.

As a result, they will have a mountain to climb in their return fixture at the Etihad Stadium next week. Even after the defeat, Inter Miami are showing keen interest in signing a City player.

In fact, according to Spanish outlet MARCA, Lionel Messi has given his approval on the move for the Manchester City star. However, they are expected to face tough competition from Italian giants.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Miami are showing strong interest in Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese international is also a target for the Italian club Juventus.

Silva’s contract with Manchester City will expire at the end of June. As a result, Inter Miami and Juventus can sign him for free.

Previously, Bernando Silva spoke about his Manchester City future. The 31-year-old already hinted at a possible exit, although he wanted to focus on the current season first as the captain of the team.

“I know exactly what I’m going to do, but it’s not the time to talk about it,” Silva said during a press conference in 2025 (via ESPN).

Bernardo Silva joined Manchester City in 2017 from AS Monaco in a €50 million deal. In nine seasons at the club, he has already crossed over 400 appearances.

Sliva’s salary is reportedly around £19.5 million per year. So, if he decides to join Juventus, then he might have to take a pay cut. That is where Inter Miami could have an advantage.
