Manchester United are already looking to bolster their squad for the next season. Apart from signing a midfielder, they are also looking to sign a forward and a centre-back.
However, there is another profile they would be looking to sign. They are looking for a left-back. Transfer News Live already reported that they are looking at a Bundesliga full-back.
Arsenal are also looking to sign that player. Now, the Red Devils also have other players on their list of targets. And, one of them is from Barcelona.
Manchester United are eyeing a move for a Barcelona left-back. But Inter Milan have also shown interest in that player.
This could come as a boost for United as well. The Red Devils were looking at Federico Dimarco. However, the latest reports suggest that the Italian may extend his contract with the Nerazzurri.
So, if Inter are looking to sign a left-back, then they might be open to letting Dimarco go. So, according to Mundo Deportivo, both United and Inter are eyeing a move for Alejandro Balde.
Manchester United will also have to find a solution for Marcus Rashford, who is currently on loan to Barcelona. That is why United may have an edge in this transfer battle.
The Catalan club want to reduce the price of Marcus Rashford. They are unwilling to pay the €30 million as per the buyout clause on Rashford’s loan deal to Barcelona.
So, Manchester United might look to leverage Rashford and sign Balde at a low price. But there is a caveat to this story because the Red Devils believe Rashford’s value is more than €50 million.
Thus, there has to be a negotiation between Barcelona and Manchester United regarding both Rashford and Balde’s deals. This could be a big disadvantage for Inter in this pursuit.
