Manchester United will continue strengthening their midfield this summer. The Red Devils have already agreed a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta for a fee in the region of £38M.
The Brazilian will undergo a medical in North America before United officially announce the move. However, United’s business in midfield may not stop there.
Michael Carrick is keen to add at least one more central midfielder following Casemiro’s departure at the end of his contract. Several names have already been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Mateus Fernandes remains a target after West Ham United’s relegation to the Championship. Meanwhile, Carlos Baleba, Sandro Tonali and Aurelien Tchouameni have also been mentioned as possible options.
Yet Ayyoub Bouaddi has now emerged following an impressive start to the World Cup. The Lille midfielder produced a standout performance during Morocco’s opening World Cup match against Brazil.
Despite making his World Cup debut, the 18-year-old looked completely at home on the biggest stage. Bouaddi helped Morocco secure a 1-1 draw against the Selecao and was one of the best players on the pitch throughout the contest.
In doing so, he even outshone Casemiro, the player Manchester United are now looking to replace. According to GIVEMESPORT, Manchester United have already shown interest in the Lille star.
The club have monitored his development throughout the season and continue to track his progress closely. Bouaddi has refused to rule out a move away from France this summer, which has only increased speculation surrounding his future.
Although he is still only 18 years old, Bouaddi has already completed his third season of first-team football with Lille.
Arsenal and Liverpool are already making moves for the player. However, with United entering the fray, the market value of Bouaddi will surely skyrocket.
