Manchester United have made progress in their pursuit of an Arsenal star. The Red Devils have held talks about the possibility of signing the player.
Now, United will be looking to add multiple players next season. Their primary target is signing midfielders. They failed to sign one last summer.
However, with Casemiro leaving and Manuel Ugarte unhappy with his game time, United must invest heavily in their midfield. But they cannot ignore other positions.
They need to sign an attacker. After parting ways with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Jadon Sancho, there is a lack of depth in the attacking third.
That is why Manchester United will be looking to add an attacker, along with a left-back. The Red Devils know that they cannot rely on Luke Shaw.
On his day, the England international can be the best left-back in the world. However, he has to stay fit to perform on the pitch.
That is why United know that they need to find a new left-back and that is where the Arsenal star comes into the picture.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Manchester United have held talks to sign Myles Lewis-Skelly. The Gunners extended his contract last summer.
However, because of the presence of Ricardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie, he is not getting enough game time.
That is why Myles Lewis-Skelly could look to leave Arsenal next summer. And, if he does leave, then Manchester United are waiting for his signature.
🗣️ @JacobsBen: “It’s definitely true that United have held some talks for Miles Lewis-Skelly. It’s definitely driven from the player side, in terms of getting more minutes.
One of the reasons they want to investigate that is because he can play in midfield as well as at left… pic.twitter.com/PbMgmPckeS
