Manchester United are have added multiple top midfielders on their list of targets for next summer. They know that they have a massive task in hand and that is to replace Casemiro.
The Brazilian already announced earlier this year that he will leave United once his contract expires with the club. Now, United are on the hunt to find a suitable replacement.
They have added multiple names, like Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba, Adam Wharton, and Bruno Guimaraes, to their list of targets. However, there are other names on this list as well.
Now, they have initiated contact with one of their top targets. According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United had made contact with the camp of Sandro Tonali.
The Newcastle United midfielder has been on the radar of multiple top European clubs. Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City are also monitoring his situation.
As a result, Newcastle United know that they will have multiple offers for the Italian next summer. And, they are ready to do business in the way they did last summer with Alexander Isak.
Newcastle’s CEO has even spoken about player sales recently. However, there is a condition that Manchester United have already set to prevent them from doing what Liverpool did last summer.
They admire Tonali and would like to sign him. But the Red Devils are not ready to pay crazy money to sign him. They have other targets they can pursue as well.
So, Manchester United will have to make a major decision soon on whether they will go after Tonali or look elsewhere because other clubs are also monitoring him.
🚨 NEW: Manchester United made contact with Sandro Tonali’s camp in the last couple of months to stay informed on his situation.
Manchester United will NOT pay crazy money for Tonali – only if the price is right.
