Manchester United make Mason Mount transfer decision

Manchester United have now made their position clear.

Manchester United are continuing to reshape their squad ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The Red Devils have already made important moves in the transfer market, while speculation continues to surround several first-team players. One of those players has been Mason Mount.

The England international has recently been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after reports in Italy suggested AC Milan were interested in signing him.

Former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, now in charge of the Serie A club, was also credited with wanting to reunite with the midfielder.

However, Manchester United have now made their position clear.

According to the Daily Mail, the club have no plans to sell Mount during the summer transfer window despite reports claiming AC Milan could submit a £21.5 million offer.

The report also states that Manchester United are unaware of any discussions with Milan over the 27-year-old. Mount could also remain at Old Trafford.

The midfielder reportedly has no intention of leaving the club and has been working with an individual fitness coach in Spain ahead of pre-season.

He is due to return to Carrington when the first group of players report back on July 9. Mount has struggled to establish himself since joining Manchester United from Chelsea in 2023.

A series of injuries have limited him to 72 appearances across three seasons. However, his most consistent spell came under Ruben Amorim

The report also claims Manuel Ugarte’s suspected ACL injury has strengthened Manchester United’s stance.

United have already agreed a deal for Ederson and remain locked in a battle with Tottenham Hotspur for Mateus Fernandes.

However, Ugarte’s lengthy absence could affect their midfield plans, making Mount’s departure even less likely.

For now, Manchester United have no intention of parting ways with the midfielder as they prepare for the new campaign.
