Manchester United needed to sell players this transfer window to bring in fresh legs. After missing out on Europe, the Red Devils have a tight transfer budget.
That is why winning against Tottenham Hotspur in that Europa League final was so very important for United.
However, as they lost the game, they will not feature in Europe next season. As a result, they are desperate to sell some of their key players.
Nowadays, clubs from Europe eye proposals from Saudi clubs as they can have good business. Liverpool have done it as they sold Darwin Nunez to Al-Hilal.
Manchester United had proposals for Bruno Fernandes before, but the Red Devils’ captain rejected the move as he wants to stay.
However, players like Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho also got proposals from Saudi clubs.
Jadon Sancho declined the move because he could be on his way to Serie A giants Juventus.
On the other hand, Garnacho wants to join a Premier League club that can offer Champions League football.
Following the footsteps of these players, there is another Manchester United player who has rejected the Saudi move as he wants to join a La Liga side.
According to Fichajes, Antony has rejected proposals from Saudi clubs as he wants to join Real Betis only.
The Brazilian player for Real Betis last season on loan, and he got his confidence back in the La Liga.
He helped Betis qualify for the Conference League final, where they unfortunately lost to Chelsea.
Now, he wants to go back to Betis and help them qualify for the Champions League next season. They will be playing the Europa League as well.
Antony has rejected a proposal from Al-Nassr, and it clearly shows the Brazilian is following his heart and not the money.
